Hand-carved linocuts, made for you

Every print I make starts as a drawing, is carved by hand into lino, and is printed in my studio in York. A commission puts your place, your creature or your cause at the centre of that process.

What I make

Private commissions
It could be a place that matters to you: a house, a garden, a favourite walk, a stretch of river, a view you return to. Or a creature: a bird, a hare, a hound, a heron. You receive the original print, plus a small edition for family and friends if you’d like one.
From £400 for a single-colour print. Multi-colour reduction prints from £600.

Campaign and charity editions
I work with organisations to create limited-edition prints that raise funds and tell a story. Past partners include Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (Protect Askham Bog) and the Save Severus Hill campaign. I can design an edition, manage the printing, and help with the launch. The fee and revenue share is agreed per project.

Organisations, businesses and public art
Illustration for publications and brands, prints for offices and larger-scale murals for public spaces. This work is quoted per project.

Workshops for groups
Private linocut workshops for teams, celebrations and community groups, in my studio or at your venue.

Next steps

  1. Get in touch Tell me what you have in mind. We’ll chat about the subject, the size, colours and budget.

  2. Design I’ll visit or research the subject and send you sketches to approve before any carving begins.

  3. Carve and print I carve the block by hand and print the edition in my studio. I’ll share progress photos along the way.

  4. Deliver Your print arrives signed, titled and ready to frame, or framed if you’d like.

Timescales: usually 6–10 weeks from approved sketch to finished print. For Christmas, please get in touch by 1 November.
Payment: a 50% deposit secures your place, with the balance on completion.
Copyright: I keep the copyright of the image, and you own the original print. Licensing for other uses (cards, books, merchandise) can be agreed separately.
